Go Boating on Sydney’s Parramatta River!
Our West Ryde venue is located in the Inner West of Sydney, and is a convenient drive for those living along the Parramatta River.
It’s only 15 minutes drive from Epping, Macquarie Park, and Parramatta, or 25 minutes from Five Dock, Pennant Hills, and Strathfield.
You’ll see the verdant green Golf Course and the sparkling Parramatta river during your General Boat Licence Course, or Boat & Jet Ski/PWC Licence Course.
Midweek Course
If you book for any course during the week (Monday-Friday), we’ll start at the Practical location at the Ermington Boat Ramp.
Weekend Course
If you book a West Ryde course on Saturday or Sunday, we’ll start the day at our Classroom Location at the Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club.

Morning Session
Your Australian Boating College Sydney course starts at the Ermington Boat Ramp, which is located down Wharf Road against the Parramatta River.
Weekend Course:
Afternoon Session
You’ll head to this location in the afternoon.
Parking Spaces:
Parking your car at this venue is free.
The car park may be busy during the summer months of the year, but there is overflow parking along Wharf Road.
Don’t park in the trailer spaces as you might get a fine from the City of Parramatta Council!
Meeting Location:
For Ermington, walk down the gangway past the mangroves, and wait on the wharf beside the boat ramp.
Our ABC Instructors will launch our brightly-coloured and branded boats and swing around for a pickup.
Venue Amenities:
Public bathrooms are provided at Ermington, and are located in a sandy brick building in direct sight of the boat ramp.
Food is not available to purchase at this location.

If you’re booked for a course during the week, you’ll come here in late morning after completing your practical. Enquire at Reception for directions to the classroom.
Weekend Course:
Morning Session
If you’ve booked for a Saturday or Sunday we’ll meet you in the courtyard in front of the Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club.

Being a Club means there are plenty of bathrooms.
